Driver Partner Terms & Conditions (Applicable to Bike, Auto, Car, EV & Delivery Pilots)

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your relationship with Rider Technologies Private Limited. (“Rider”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) as a Driver Partner. By registering or using the Rider Platform (mobile app, website, and related services), you agree to comply with the following:

  1. Definitions

    • Driver Partner: A person who provides transportation or delivery services via the Rider platform, referred to as a Pilot partner.
    • Rider Platform: The mobile app, website, and systems used for facilitating trips, deliveries, and operations.
    • Services: Transport via bike, car (Mini, Sedan, 7-seater), auto, electric vehicles (EV), and future intra-city courier/parcel services.
  2. Eligibility

    • Minimum 18 years of age.
    • Valid driving license for the vehicle used.
    • Must have a helmet for 2 wheelers and bikes.
    • Vehicles must have proper documents (RC, insurance, PUC).
    • Required permits and clean backgrounds (no criminal cases).
    • Must meet local/state transport authority norms.
  3. Registration & Onboarding

    • Photo ID proof (e.g., Aadhaar)
    • 3 Passport size photos
    • Driving license
    • Vehicle documents (RC, insurance, PUC)
    • Bank account details must be provided
    • Other documents as requested

    You agree to provide true, complete, and up-to-date documents.

  4. Driver Responsibilities

    • Maintain vehicle hygiene and condition.
    • Use the app with GPS/data enabled during working hours and be punctual.
    • Follow traffic laws and drive safely.
    • Be respectful and professional with customers (Riders).
    • Complete assigned rides/deliveries unless a valid reason exists.
  5. Commission & Payments

    • Rider deducts a platform fee from each fare.
    • Earnings are credited to your registered bank account as per payout schedule.
    • Taxes (TDS, GST) may apply and be deducted accordingly.
  6. Cancellation & Suspension

    • Unjustified trip cancellations may lead to warnings or suspension.
    • Misbehavior, overcharging, or illegal activity may result in termination and legal action.
  7. Termination of Access

    • Breach of Terms
    • Fraudulent activity or misconduct
    • Submission of fake documents
    • Repeated complaints

    You may also choose to exit the platform after settling dues.

  8. Data Privacy

    All personal and operational data collected will be used per our Driver Privacy Policy, including for:

    • Service management
    • Payments
    • Background verification
    • Analytics

    Data is processed lawfully and securely.

  9. Insurance & Liability

    • You must maintain valid vehicle and personal insurance.
    • Rider is not liable for:
      • Accidents or injury
      • Loss/damage to vehicle or goods
      • Third-party claims due to negligence

  11. Code of Conduct / Zero Tolerance

    Misconduct including the following can lead to immediate termination and legal action:

    • Driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs
    • Harassment or abuse of passengers
    • Discrimination by religion, caste, gender, etc.
    • Engagement in theft, assault, or unlawful activities
  12. App Usage

    • Use only your personal Rider account.
    • Keep login credentials confidential.
    • Do not manipulate GPS or trip data.
    • Use the latest version of the app on a device with GPS functionality.
  13. Courier Services (Upcoming)

    Drivers may opt-in for parcel delivery services in the future:

    • Handle all packages with care.
    • Do not accept illegal, fragile, or flammable items.
    • Allow package checks if flagged by Rider staff or authorities.
    • Ensure timely and safe delivery.
  14. Tax Compliance

    • Drivers must declare earnings to tax authorities.
    • Rider will issue TDS certificates as applicable.
    • You agree to comply with all income tax and GST laws.
  15. Non-Exclusivity

    • You are free to work with other ride/delivery platforms.
    • Pilots may be offered bonuses for exclusive work, but exclusivity is not mandatory.
  16. Force Majeure

    Rider is not liable for service disruption due to:

    • Natural disasters
    • Government restrictions
    • Pandemics, strikes, war, or other unforeseeable events
  17. Governing Law

    These Terms are governed by Indian law.

    All disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Chennai.

By signing up as a Driver Partner, you accept and agree to all terms, obligations, and policies outlined above.

Customer Terms & Conditions (Applicable to Bike, Auto, Car, EV & Future parcel service)

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your relationship with Rider Technologies Private Limited (“Rider,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) as a customer or user of our ride-hailing and delivery platform. By registering or using the Rider Platform (mobile app, website, and related services), you agree to be bound by the following:

  1. Definitions

    • Customer/User/Rider: An individual who avails transportation or delivery services through the Rider platform.
    • Rider Platform: Mobile application, website, and backend system used to facilitate trip booking, delivery orders, and support services.
    • Services: On-demand transportation using bike, auto, car (Mini, Sedan, 7-seater), electric vehicle (EV), and future intra-city courier/delivery services.
  2. Eligibility

    • You must be at least 18 years old to register or use the services.
    • You must have a valid mobile number and access to a smartphone with internet connectivity.
    • You are responsible for ensuring accurate personal information during registration.
  3. Account Registration

    • You must create an account on the Rider App using a valid mobile number.
    • OTP-based authentication will be used for login verification.
    • You agree to maintain confidentiality of your login credentials and restrict access to your account.
  4. Service Usage

    • You may request rides or deliveries via the app as per availability in your area.
    • You must ensure that:
      • All trip requests are genuine.
      • You are present at the pick-up location at the designated time.
      • You pay the full fare amount via available modes (cash, wallet, UPI, card, etc.).
    • Misuse of the app, fake bookings, or fraud may lead to account suspension.
  5. Fare & Payments

    • Fare is calculated based on distance, time, surge pricing (if applicable), and vehicle category.
    • Final fare is shown at the end of the trip; this must be paid promptly.
    • You agree to:
      • Pay cancellation fees in case of last-minute cancellations.
      • Cover any tolls, parking, or extra charges incurred during the ride.
    • You may receive invoices and receipts via SMS, app, or email.
  6. Cancellation & Refunds

    • You may cancel a booking within a limited window without charges.
    • Frequent cancellations or no-shows may lead to account warnings or suspension.
    • Refunds (if any) for failed transactions will be processed as per payment gateway timelines.
  7. Ratings & Feedback

    • You can rate the Driver Partner and overall trip experience post-ride.
    • Rider may use this data to improve services or take corrective actions.
    • False, abusive, or defamatory feedback may lead to legal consequences.
  8. User Conduct

    You must:

    • Treat all Driver Partners respectfully.
    • Not damage vehicles or abuse the driver.
    • Not engage in illegal activities (e.g., transporting banned substances).
    • Not make unsolicited contact with drivers outside of the service.

    Zero-Tolerance Policy Includes:

    • Verbal/physical abuse
    • Harassment, indecent behavior
    • Discrimination by religion, caste, gender, etc.
    • Drunken behavior or threatening conduct

    Violation may lead to permanent account deactivation and legal action.

  9. Courier & Delivery Services (Upcoming)

    • Rider may enable intra-city delivery service (similar to Dunzo) in the future.
    • You agree:
      • Not to send illegal, flammable, or dangerous items.
      • To declare the package type truthfully.
      • To accept liability for items handed over for delivery.
      • That Rider or authorities may inspect packages if needed.
  10. Data Privacy

    Your personal information (name, phone, location, payment data) is collected per our Customer Privacy Policy.

    It is used for:

    • Booking management
    • Trip tracking
    • Customer support
    • Legal compliance

    You may access, update, or request deletion of your data by contacting us.

  11. Promotions & Referral Programs

    • Rider may offer promo codes or discounts subject to terms and eligibility.
    • Misuse, multiple account creation, or fake referrals will void benefits and may lead to account suspension.
  12. App Access & Updates

    • You must use the latest version of the app for optimal performance.
    • Rider may:
      • Add/remove features
      • Modify terms and UI without prior notice
    • Continued usage implies acceptance of such changes.
  13. Intellectual Property

    • All logos, trademarks, content, and app design are the property of Rider Technologies Private Limited.
    • You agree not to copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or exploit the app.
  14. Limitation of Liability

    • Rider is not liable for:
      • Delays due to traffic or uncontrollable circumstances.
      • Theft, loss, or damage to personal belongings during rides.
      • Driver misconduct (though strict action is taken post-complaint).
      • Service unavailability due to technical errors or force majeure.
  15. Force Majeure

    • Rider is not responsible for disruptions due to natural calamities, lockdowns, war, strikes, server failure, or regulatory action.
  16. Termination

    • You may delete your account at any time.
    • Rider may suspend or deactivate accounts for:
      • Policy violations
      • Fraud or misuse
      • Multiple complaints or abusive conduct

    These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.

    Any dispute shall fall under the jurisdiction of courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

By continuing to use the Rider Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
